Shall we register on kakuyomu to show the author how much we love their novel?
Yes? Here we go then.

First of all, go over to kakuyomu.jp and click blue button on top of the page—

Type in your e-mail, password, &c.
Uncheck receiving the e-mails (which does not work at all), click the mark box to say that you agree with their terms of usage and click blue button below.

After some time, you’ll receive an e-mail. Just follow the link you find in it.

To log in afterwards, click as shown below—

Stop receiving e-mails

UPDATE 2023-06: Up to this day, I’ve still been receiving lots of emails from them…
Please ignore everything below.

Some people (me including) do not like to clutter their e-mail inboxes.
On registration, it is possible to disable receiving any e-mails from kakuyomu.

After you’ve logged in, hover your nickname and click the following item—

Next, choose second tab and scroll to the very bottom.

Check the boxes circled on image and click the blue button below the list.

(Certainly you can check other boxes as well, but first section is for on-website notifications, which are not annoying and rather useful.)

Now we have freed ourselves from receiving any kind of e-mails from them.
